Register for digital banking

How to register for Mobile & Online Banking

Important information before you begin:

You’ll need:

  • Your HSBC sort code and account number for your current, savings, mortgage or personal loan account. Alternatively, you can use your credit card number or your Mortgage or InvestDirect account number.

  • Your Telephone Banking Security Number*. If you’ve recently opened a current account online with us, you should receive it in the post in a few days.

    *If you don’t know your Telephone Banking Security Number, or are based outside of the UK, please call us on 03457 404 404 (+44 122 626 1010 from outside the UK).

The easiest way to register for mobile and online banking is by downloading the HSBC UK Mobile Banking app. To continue online, select ‘Register for Online Banking’.
